Markwort Lengende

Storage of carrots

The Markwort farm in Lengede suffered significant quality losses in its carrots at the end of each storage period. Even additional covering with fleece and humidification achieved little improvement. It also required a great deal of work.
By installing the NEOFOGG® system in their cold storage facility, Olaf and Phillip Markwort increased their saleable carrots by 10%. In addition, the amount of work required for sorting was significantly reduced.

Landgard

Cauliflower, broccoli

The Landgard cooperative in Schleswig-Holstein mainly grows cauliflower and broccoli, which are stored for short-term marketing. The cooperative was looking for a way to extend the storage life of its products.
By installing a NEOFOGG® system in the cold store, the storage time for cauliflower was extended by over a week. Broccoli could be stored for several days longer. Both were still as fresh when removed from storage as they were immediately after harvesting.
Karsten Witt (Landgard) explained: ‘The use of the NEOFOGG® system has enabled better marketing.’

Maas Rolfs

vegetable cultivation

The Maas Rolfs agricultural business in Büsum was looking for a way to extend the storage time of its carrots without sacrificing quality.
In 2019, a NEOFOGG® system was installed in a carrot storage facility. By customising the system settings, it was possible to achieve an optimal indoor climate with a stable, high relative humidity.
After just one season, Maas Rolfs recorded improved quality and increased sales (+8%).
This success and the rapid return on investment convinced Maas Rolfs to immediately install another NEOFOGG® system for a second cold store.
